1844 — Nov. 21 First Worship Service

1845 — April, 15 First Confirmation

1849 — First Building

1850 — April 26, Dedication of Building

1853– Joined Norwegian Synod

1870 – Congregation Split into United and Synod Churches

1880s – Ladies Aid Formed at United Church

1892 – Ladies Aid Formed at Synod Church

1899-1925 — Four Norwegian Lutheran Church in the Capron Area

1909– Luther League Formed for Youth

1910 – Synod Building Moved from Long Prairie Cemetery into Town

1913 – Synod and United Church Reunite and form Long Prairie Lutheran Church

1914 — Long Prairie Lutheran Church Joins Norwegian Lutheran Church in America

1926 — Fellowship Hall Built

1940 – United Church Building Dismantled at Cemetary

1941 — Narthex Added

1946 — Name Changed to Capron Lutheran Church, Organ Installed

1958 — Education Wing, Kitchen, Restrooms, and New Parsonage are Added

1961 — Joined American Lutheran Church

1982 — Rosebud Ministry Begins

1985 — Rural Plunge Begins

1988 — Joins the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, which we are still part of today.

1993 — New Entrance Built with Ramp, Dedicated in 1994

1998 – Organ Console Moved to Make Fellowship Hall Wheelchair Accessible from Sanctuary

2000 – Purchased Manring House, Built New Parking Lot

2004-2007 – Trash Pick-Up at Boone County Fair to Fund New Parking Lot

2010 — Community Garden Begun

2010 — Little Lambs Pre-School Formed

2013 — Partnership with Love, INC Begins

2013 — Community Clothing Exchange Begins

2013 — Paper Angel Closet Begins

2015 — Open Space Worship Begins
